I’m very excited that I will be attending the VIP opening of Maya Lin’s exhibit at the Corcoran Gallery this Tuesday March 10th. If you don’t already know her work, she mainly experiments with installation art and memorials which are inspired by natural landscapes and current environmental threats. Specifically, Systematic Landscapes explores how people perceive and experience the landscape in a time of heightened technological influence and environmental awareness.
The artist is also responsible for the design of Washington D.C.’s famous Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Really love her website too!
